Dancin' by myself One of the best things that ever happened to me was getting fired just before Thanksgiving, 1992. All depressed and woebegone, I took my sorry self out to a movie one night and watched Patrick Swayze show me all about "Dirty Dancing". Changed my freakin' life. No lie. I took money I couldn't actually afford and bought dance lessons. And more dance lessons. And more.
OK, that was quite some few years ago. I am no longer young nor beautiful. I am waaaay out of practice, having had neither partner nor venue for quite awhile. But I still and always will love to dance. And best is dancing with a partner.
